Laura Garran

Laura (Sims) Garran is an accomplished HR leader with extensive experience at Newmont Corporation, where Laura currently serves as Director of HR Projects. In this role, Laura has functioned as the interim Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Director, advised Talent Management leaders, and managed executive assessments and coaching initiatives. Past positions at Newmont include Regional Vice President of Human Resources and Senior Director of Human Resources, driving people strategy and overseeing various HR operations. Laura's career began at Accenture, where Laura held roles such as Recruiting Manager and HR Manager. Laura is also a certified executive coach and has completed yoga teacher training. Education includes a BA in Communications from Western Michigan University and certifications from the University of California, Berkeley and Yoga East West.
