Wilfred Visser

Wilfred Visser is an experienced mining executive currently serving as the General Manager for the Red Chris Operation at Newmont Corporation since October 2011, where leadership focuses on safe production and the integration of the mine, as well as future development in collaboration with the Tahltan nation. Previously, Visser held various leadership roles at Newmont, including General Manager and Mine Manager for the Merian Operation, where efforts centered on creating a world-class asset and establishing reliable partnerships in Suriname. Additional experience includes strategic consulting at Accenture and co-founding Dust BioSolutions, a biotech startup in the mining sector. Wilfred Visser holds both BSc and MSc degrees in Mining Engineering from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from IE Business School.
