Abby Vowles

Abby Vowles is an experienced education professional currently serving as an Inclusion Advisor for Inclusion and Additional Learning Needs (ALN) at Newport City Council since September 2008. Abby has developed strategic initiatives to enhance ALN across schools while supporting leadership teams in both educational institutions and the local authority. Previous roles include Teacher Advisor for ALN, Head of Inclusion and ALNCo at Glan Llyn Primary School, and Visiting Lecturer at the University of South Wales, focusing on early years and special educational needs. A dedicated educator, Abby holds a Master's degree in Special Educational Needs from the University of South Wales and a BA Hons in Primary Studies with QTS from the University of Newport, along with vast teaching experience at Ysgol Bryn Derw, where specialized knowledge in ASD and curriculum improvement was utilized.
