Richard Talbot

Richard Talbot has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. In 2006, they served as the Managing Director of Beacons Timber Trades Ltd. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as an Assessor Team Leader at Capital Training SW Ltd. In 2011, they took on the role of a Union Learning Rep at UCATT, where they promoted the Welsh Union Learning Fund project and advised on training and funding. Richard also served as a Club Coaching Co-ordinator at St Josephs (Newport) RFC during the same period. In 2012, they founded Talbot Training & Consultancy Limited, where they worked as a Director on learning projects for Menter a Busnes and UCATT. Richard also took on the role of Club Coaching Coordinator at Newport Saracens RFC during this time. In 2013, they worked as an Essential Skills Tutor at ADT Training Ltd, where they delivered training programs funded by the European Social Fund and Welsh Government. From 2014 to 2018, they held various roles at RMS (Retail Merchandising Services), including Account Manager/Health & Safety Adviser, Range Review Coordinator, and Training and Development Manager. Currently, they work at Newport City Homes as the Health and Safety Lead, a role they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Health And Safety Manager at the same company from 2018 to 2022.

Richard Talbot attended Queens Comprehensive School from 1986 to 1990 and Bettws Comprehensive School from 1990 to 1991. Richard graduated from the University of Glamorgan in 2001 with a degree in Chemistry.
