Rachel Rickles is a seasoned professional in customer success management, currently serving as the Manager of Strategic Customer Success and Engagement at Newsela since August 2019. In this role, Rachel leads a team of nine Mid-Market Customer Success Managers, focusing on customer implementation, adoption, advocacy, renewal, and growth strategy. Rachel previously played a key role in customer strategy and executive implementation for the NYC Department of Education. In 2021, Rachel was honored as Customer Success Manager of the Year. Prior experience includes serving as Professional Learning Manager at KIPP New Jersey, Department Professional Development Leader and Social Studies Teacher at Baltimore City Public Schools, and Corps Member with Teach For America. Rachel holds a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Michigan.
