John Walls

John Walls has work experience as Head of Data Analysis at Newsquest since May 2019. Prior to that, they worked at The University of Glasgow from January 2014 to November 2018. Before that, they were a Senior Research Associate at the University of Durham from February 2007 to January 2009. John also worked as a Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia from May 2000 to January 2007.

John Walls obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computational Linguistics from the University of Portsmouth, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. John also holds additional certifications, including "Managing Big Data with MySQL" from Coursera and "Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI" and "Creating BI Reports with SQL Server Reporting Services" from edX. The specific dates for obtaining the latter two certifications are not provided.
