Aleksandra Tokmakova

Aleksandra Tokmakova has a strong background in software development and analysis. Aleksandra is currently employed as a Senior Software Developer at NewStore, Inc. since 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Yandex from 2014 to 2022, starting as a Junior Analyst and then progressing to roles such as Middle Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Analyst. During their time at Yandex, they contributed to various projects and achievements, such as redesigning and transferring news search to a microservice architecture, improving service availability, reducing release cycles, and increasing awareness of upcoming product launches. Before joining Yandex, Aleksandra worked as a Junior Analyst at Forecsys from 2012 to 2013.

Aleksandra Tokmakova obtained a Bachelor's degree with honors in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) from 2008 to 2012. Aleksandra then went on to pursue a Master's degree with honors in Applied Mathematics and Physics at the same institution from 2012 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications. In January 2014, they completed a course on Machine Learning from Coursera. In October 2013, they obtained a certification in Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 2, also from Coursera. Furthermore, they completed a course on SciWrite Writing in the Sciences from Stanford Online in October 2013.
