Carl Guerin

Carl Guerin, CFA has extensive work experience in the financial industry spanning over 25 years. Carl currently holds the position of Head of Investment Performance - US at Newton Investment Management Group since June 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Analyst, Investment Architecture at the same company from September 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining Newton Investment Management Group, Carl worked at Mellon from 2008 to 2021, where they held various roles including Director, Analyst in the Business Strategy team, Director, Portfolio Manager / Research Analyst, and Portfolio Coordinator. During their time at Mellon, they played a key role in improving equity infrastructure, coordinating the transfer of the Multi-Factor Equity team's trading desk, and establishing the target operating model of Proxy Voting and Governance Committee.

Earlier in their career, Carl worked at Bank of New York Mellon, ICMA-RC, Hartford Life, Scudder Investments, State Street Bank, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts in various finance and investment-related roles.

Carl Guerin, CFA has a strong educational background. Carl began their education at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Carl attended the university from 1991 to 1995.

After their undergraduate studies, Carl pursued further education at Rensselaer at Work, where they obtained a Master's degree in Management with a concentration in Financial Management. Carl completed their master's degree program from 2003 to 2004.

In 2011, Carl Guerin enrolled in the Emerging Leaders Program at UMass Boston's Center for Collaborative Leadership. Carl is currently pursuing their education in this program, with no end year mentioned.

In addition to their formal education, Carl has also completed various certifications. Carl obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in September 2007. Carl also received the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) certification from the CMT Association in July 2017.
