Mohamed El Ouarrari has held various finance and leadership roles throughout their career. Mohamed started as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1997 before becoming a Business Controller at Total in 1999. After that, they worked as a Financial Controller at Schindler Group from 2001 to 2003. Mohamed then joined Dell as their Chief Financial Officer before moving to Volvo Group as the Chief Financial Officer for Northern Africa Morocco. At Nexans, they served as the Chief Financial Officer and later transitioned to the role of Manager Internal Audit. Mohamed also worked as the Senior Financial Controller in the Strategy Department and the Transformation Program Officer for Middle East Russia Africa and Rail, Mining, O&G, Power Generation at Nexans. Currently, they are the Strategy & Transformation Director of the Industry Services Projects Business Group at Nexans.

Mohamed El Ouarrari has a Master's degree in Sciences de Gestion from IAE Lille, obtained in 1996. Mohamed also has a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, completed between 1990 and 1994. In 1996, they earned a DECF (INTEC) degree in Expertise Comptable from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers. In 2004, they obtained a Project Management PM diploma from the University of Gothenburg, specializing in Management de projet. Lastly, in 2023, they completed a Certificate program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
