Lisa Matthews

Lisa Matthews, PhD, is an accomplished Senior Content Designer and Strategist at Nexer Digital, with extensive experience in research, writing, and content strategy. From October 2012 to July 2023, Lisa contributed as a PhD researcher at Northumbria University, focusing on Creative Writing and sequentiality. Previously, Lisa operated as a self-employed content strategist through Poe{t}ech, specializing in language as a business resource. Lisa also founded The Poetry Fold, a micro-business providing freelance writing and tutoring services. Early career roles included research fellow at PEALS Research Institute, marketing manager at Mslexia Publications Ltd, and library and archives assistant at Newcastle City Council. Lisa holds a PhD, a Master's degree in Creative Writing, and a BA (Hons) in English & History, all from Northumbria University.
