Gürkan Ilicali has a diverse work experience in the semiconductor industry. Gürkan is currently working as a Senior Principal Development Engineer at Nexperia. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Engineer at Micronas, where they were responsible for process and device integration for high voltage CMOS technology for automotive products. Before that, they worked at Telefunken Semiconductors as the Head of Technology Development, where they supervised a team and optimized resource utilization. Gürkan also held the position of Process Integration and Device Engineer at Telefunken, focusing on process integration and device design. Earlier in their career, Gürkan worked as a Senior Engineer at Qimonda, where they specialized in electrical device characterization and compact modeling. Gürkan also served as a Researcher and Full-time PhD student at Infineon Technologies, where they worked on the realization of sub-50nm Planar Single and Double Gate SOI CMOS Devices and layer transfer for fabrication of planar Double Gate transistors. Gürkan also served as a Development Engineer at Infineon Technologies, focusing on technology pre-development for sub-100nm technology nodes and CMOS process integration.
Gürkan Ilicali has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, which they obtained from 2002 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their MSc. in Engineering Physics from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2001. In 1994, they received their BSc. in Physics from Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi. It is worth noting that in 1999, they also studied English at Istanbul Technical University, but no degree is specified.
