Patricia Ward

Patricia Ward has extensive experience in quality assurance and compliance roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Patricia began their career in 1992 as a QA Manager at Greenwich Pharmaceuticals, where they developed and implemented quality systems and conducted audits. Patricia then worked as a Manager of R&D QA at Pfizer's Animal Health Division from 1994 to 1996. From 1996 to 1999, Patricia served as a Compliance Advisor at AstraMerck, where they managed assessments, conducted compliance training, and distributed relevant information.

In 1999, Patricia became a QA Consultant and conducted audits for global clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Patricia specialized in document, clinical investigator site, systems/process, and vendor/on-site audits, including FDA preparation and routine inspections. Patricia worked as a QA Consultant until 2012.

From 2012 to 2015, Patricia joined Shire Pharmaceuticals as the Director of R&D Quality Assurance. In this role, they developed and led auditing, inspection, and compliance strategies related to various regulated R&D activities. Patricia provided analysis and risk management for compliance and quality matters and recommended corrective and preventative actions.

In 2015, Patricia returned to working as a QA Consultant until 2016. Patricia then served as an Executive Director of Quality Assurance at Aclaris Therapeutics, Inc. from 2016 to 2019. Patricia was responsible for managing compliance in the company's research and development programs, developing procedural documents, and conducting audits of third-party vendors.

In 2019, Patricia worked as a Quality Assurance Consultant at Patricia A. Ward, where they provided consultancy services until 2022. During this time, they joined Marinus Pharma as the Vice President of Quality Programs from 2019 to 2022.

Most recently, in 2022, Patricia joined Nexstone Immunology as the Vice President of Compliance & Quality as well as the Vice President of QA & Compliance.

Patricia Ward has a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical QA & Regulatory Affairs from Temple University, which they obtained from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Pre-med from Ursinus College between 1979 and 1982. Patricia also has additional certifications in Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management from the Drug Information Association, and they have completed a Women in Leadership program offered by Progressive Womens Leadership.
