Bo Tao

Bo Tao is the current CTO at NEXT Trucking. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Engineering at Symantec, responsible for building and operating cloud infrastructure and big data platform based on OpenStack & Hadoop families of open source technologies. Bo has also served as the Sr. Vice President & General Manager at RocKontrol Inc. and as the Sr. Eng. Director & CTO of China R&D Center at EMC. Bo Tao has extensive experience in the field of technology and has been instrumental in the development and growth of various companies.

Bo Tao has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University. Bo is certified from Coursera in Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects.

A direct report to Bo Tao is and Byron Lo - VP, Software Engineering. They work with Adam Baldwin - VP, People & Culture, Lidia Yan - Co-Founder, and Eulanda Simon - VP, Accounting Operations. Bo Tao reports to Abhishek Kapur, CEO.
