Philips Mensah Effah has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering, entrepreneurship, and climate observation. Philips Mensah is currently working as a Software Engineer at Nextdoor since July 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Staff Software Engineer at Rakuten Rewards from March 2019 to September 2021. Philips Mensah also worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Ebates from February 2017 to March 2019. Before that, they were a Web Developer at ORAIKO from November 2015 to December 2016. Philips co-founded Dropifi in December 2012 and worked as a Co-founder/Software Engineer until July 2015. Philips Mensah has also gained entrepreneurial training as an Entrepreneur in Training at Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology from August 2011 to April 2012. Additionally, they worked as a Climate Observer at The GLOBE Program from September 2004 to April 2005.

Philips Mensah Effah pursued their Bachelor of Education degree in Computer Science at the University of Cape Coast from 2007 to 2011. In September 2020, they acquired a certification in Problem Solving from HackerRank.
