Yue Zhang

Yue Zhang has a diverse work experience, starting with a role as a Web Developer Intern at Thevelopment, LLC. from September 2013 to February 2014. They then worked as a Software Engineer at Wells Fargo from October 2014 to December 2015, focused on SQL Server 2008 R2, data management, and database maintenance. After that, they joined the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation as a Software Engineer in April 2016, where they optimized SQL execution, created report logging frameworks, and improved performance. Yue then worked as a Software Engineer at MuniBilling from October 2016 to July 2018, developing reporting modules, implementing privilege control, and optimizing database performance. They then moved to Twitter as a Software Engineer in July 2018, before being promoted to Senior Software Engineer in August 2022. At Twitter, Yue led the development of offline signal acquisition systems and pixel tracking solutions, saving infrastructure costs and spearheading critical bug fixes. Currently, Yue works as a Senior Software Engineer at Nextdoor, starting in January 2023.

Yue Zhang began their education in 2008 at Santa Barbara City College, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Science in 2009. Yue then continued their studies at UC San Diego from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering. In 2016, Yue Zhang obtained the MCPS (Microsoft Certified Professional) certification from Microsoft. Additional certifications include various courses from Code School such as "Accelerating Through Angular 2," "Anatomy of Backbone.js," "Anatomy of Backbone.js Part 2," "Assembling Sass," "CoffeeScript," "ES2015: The Shape of JavaScript to Come," "Front-end Formations," "Fundamentals of Design," "Git Real," "JavaScript Road Trip Part 2," "JavaScript Road Trip Part 3," "Shaping up with Angular.js," "Staying Sharp with Angular.js," "The Elements of Web Design," "The Magical Marvels of MongoDB," and "Try jQuery." Yue Zhang also completed the "MDX Fundamentals" course from Pluralsight.
