Joe McGuinness

Joe McGuinness has over two decades of experience in the nuclear energy sector, currently serving as Operations Shift Manager at NextEra Energy, Inc. since October 2021, overseeing operations at the Turkey Point Nuclear Station. Formerly a Senior Reactor Operator at the same company from July 2011 to October 2021, Joe supervised reactor shift operations and implemented critical programs. Joe's earlier roles include Nuclear Engineering Supervisor and Senior Project Engineer at NextEra Energy Resources, and various engineering positions at Westinghouse Electric Company. Joe holds a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology, complemented by multiple certifications, including a Senior Reactor Operator License.
