Diego Romero

Diego Romero has extensive experience in finance and accounting. Diego started their career as a Finance and Accounting Intern at MSA - The Safety Company in 2013. Diego then interned at Bticino de México in 2014, where they focused on general accounting and expense control.

Diego joined GE in 2015 and participated in their Financial Management Program, which included rotations in various finance roles. Diego served as a Finance Intern at GE Aviation, where they worked on cash improvement projects and cost recovery initiatives. Diego also worked as a Tax Controller Analyst, FP&A and Cash Analyst, and Supply Chain Finance Analyst in different divisions of GE.

Diego's next role was at OYO México in 2020, where they served as the FP&A Manager. Diego was responsible for financial modeling, forecasting, and presenting monthly results to senior management.

In 2021, Diego joined JOKR as the Head of Finance for North LATAM. Diego managed financial operations for Colombia and Mexico, including controllership, FP&A, and treasury functions. Diego also led a large team and was responsible for global reporting of financial statements.

Currently, Diego is the Head of Finance at Nexu, a position they have held since 2023. Diego oversees comprehensive financial operations in Mexico and plays a key role in business planning, model forecasting, and investor reporting.

Diego Romero received their Licenciatura degree in Financial Administration from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2016. Diego also attended the Zagreb School of Economics and Management, where they completed a Summer Program in Economics and Marketing. Additionally, Diego obtained a certification as an Investment Strategies Advisor from the AMIB official - Asociación Mexicana de Instituciones Bursátiles in November 2016.
