Gideon Spierings

Gideon Spierings has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Gideon started their career as a Freelance Web Developer at Spitso in 2014 and worked with various companies on different projects until 2015. In 2016, they joined VCS Observation as a Zabbix Engineer, where they improved the implementation of a hardware monitoring application.

Following this, Gideon worked as a Graduation Student at InfoSupport, focusing on the difficulties of representing different types of usage data in a generic datamodel. Gideon then joined VAA ICT Consultancy as a Software Engineer/Technical Analyst, specializing in frontend development for pre-sales projects.

In 2018, Gideon held multiple roles concurrently. Gideon worked at de Volksbank as a Frontend Developer, responsible for developing a CI/CD self-service dashboard. Gideon also joined Frontmen - Frontend Experts as a Frontend Developer, where they honed their skills in frontend development. Additionally, Gideon worked at Jumbo Supermarkten as a Senior Javascript Developer, contributing to the development of algorithms for personalized food plans for professional athletes.

Gideon's career progressed further in 2021 when they joined AllianceBlock as a Senior Software Engineer. Initially, they worked as a freelance JavaScript developer but quickly transitioned to a full-time role, actively contributing to the company's mission to disrupt the world of investment banking.

Currently, Gideon is working at Nexus Mutual as a Frontend Developer, focusing on front-end development tasks.

Throughout their work experience, Gideon has demonstrated skills in JavaScript, DevOps, GraphQL, NestJS, Angular, and NGRX, among others. Gideon has also been involved in team scaling and conducting developer interviews.

Gideon Spierings began their education at Koning Willem I College in 2008, where they studied HAVO for a year. Following this, they pursued a field of study in Application Development at the same institution from 2010 to 2013. Finally, Gideon attended Avans University of Applied Sciences from 2013 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of ICT degree with a specialization in Informatica.
