Chris O'Mara has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical operations and research. Chris started their career as a Conversational English Teacher at Puławy English Camp in 2010. Chris then interned as a Cancer Research Lab Intern at the University of Skövde in 2007 and as a Genetics Research Lab Intern at BioMarin from 2007 to 2009.
In 2012, Chris joined the University of California, San Francisco, where they held various roles including Clinical Research Coordinator in Thoracic Oncology and Cutaneous Oncology, Senior Clinical Research Coordinator in Cutaneous Oncology, and Education & Training Coordinator from 2012 to 2015.
From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Clinical Trial Specialist at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. before joining MYOTHERIX, Inc. as a Senior Clinical Trial Manager from 2017 to 2018.
In 2019, Chris became a Clinical Operations Consultant at Wings Therapeutics, Inc. (Now Phoenicis Therapeutics, Inc.) where they worked until 2021.
Currently, they hold the position of Director Clinical Operations at NFlection Therapeutics, starting in June 2021.
Chris O'Mara has a strong educational background in the field of biology. From 2006 to 2010, they attended Dominican University of California, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology. Following this, from 2015 to 2018, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the same university. Currently, they are enrolled as a Master of Business Administration Candidate at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, with an anticipated completion in 2023. Additionally, Chris O'Mara holds a certification as a Certified Clinical Research Professional from the Society of Clinical Research Associates.
