Alina Potts, MPH, is an accomplished Research Scientist at The Global Women's Institute, focusing on gender-based violence in humanitarian settings through participatory action research. As a founding member of nFormation, Alina supports women of color in career advancement. Alina serves as a Teaching Associate at Columbia University, teaching on gender-based violence in complex emergencies. Previous roles include Emergency Coordinator for the International Rescue Committee in Cox's Bazar, Child Protection Research and Evaluation Specialist at UNICEF, and multiple consulting positions. Alina holds a Master of Public Health in Forced Migration and Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and International Development from Boston University.
