Paul Basford began their work experience in 2004 as a Customer Service Manager at AXA. Paul was then promoted to Head of Customer Services and became part of the Protection Leadership Executive Team. During their time at AXA, they implemented strategies to drive business growth and improve customer service. In 2010, they joined Friends Life as the Head of Business Transformation, where they focused on reducing costs and improving operational efficiency. Since 2011, Paul has been working at NFU Mutual, taking on roles such as Quality, Risk and Controls Manager, Customer Service Manager, and currently, Head of IT Governance & Control.

Paul Basford attended the Royal Grammar School - High Wycombe from 1970 to 1975, where they achieved a degree of competence in an unspecified field of study.
