Ali Seiphoori

Ali Seiphoori is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at NGI - Norwegian Geotechnical Institute since June 2023, focusing on advanced geotechnical testing for offshore oil and gas as well as renewable energy sectors. Previously, Ali served as Technical Manager at Geocomp - GeoTesting Express from July 2021 to June 2023, where responsibilities included supervising automated testing programs and managing research and development efforts. With a background as a Geomechanics Researcher at MIT Earth Resources Laboratory, Ali led significant research projects and organized international symposia. Recent postdoctoral roles at the University of Pennsylvania and MIT involved investigating critical environmental issues related to mud sedimentation and contaminant transport. Ali holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geomechanics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with multiple degrees in geotechnical and hydraulic structures engineering.
