Carl Fredrik Forsberg is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in marine geological research and geotechnical investigations. Currently serving as a Senior Geologist at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) since 2001, Forsberg previously held the position of Marine Geologist at the Norwegian Polar Institute from 1991 to 2001, focusing on research in the Arctic and Antarctic regions and participating in the ODP Leg 188 to Prydz Bay. Additionally, Forsberg worked as a Marine Geologist at NGI from 1983 to 1991, where responsibilities included offshore geotechnical site investigations. Forsberg earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Oslo between 1975 and 1983.
