Mertcan Geyin

Mertcan Geyin is a Project Engineer at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) since April 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Scholar and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington from September 2017 to June 2022, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech from July 2014 to May 2017. Mertcan Geyin also worked as an Undergraduate Student Assistant at Middle East Technical University (METU) from November 2013 to June 2014, and completed an internship with Limak Group of Companies in July 2013. Mertcan Geyin holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from the University of Washington, a Master's degree in the same field from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from METU. Education was preceded by completion of Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi from 2005 to 2009.
