Vidar Gjelsvik

Vidar Gjelsvik is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) since January 2009, where also serves as Head of Section Geotechnics and Natural Hazards in Trondheim and Technical Lead for onshore foundations. Prior experience includes roles as a Geotechnical Engineer at Ramboll from May 2004 to December 2008, Norconsult AS from August 2001 to April 2004, and Scandiaconsult (now Rambøll) from October 1998 to July 2001. Vidar Gjelsvik began their career as an Engineering Geologist at NVK Vandbygningskontoret (now Multiconsult) from February 1996 to September 1998. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Soil Mechanics, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST).
