Michelle Fountain

Michelle Fountain is an accomplished research leader in entomology with extensive experience in pest and pathogen ecology, currently serving as the Research Leader in Entomology at East Malling Research since September 2006 and as the Head of Pest and Pathogen Ecology at NIAB EMR since April 2017. Additionally, Michelle holds the position of Deputy Head of the Pest & Pathogen Ecology Department at NIAB EMR. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Environmental Scientist at WRc plc (2004-2005) and as an Entomologist at the University of Reading (2001-2004). Michelle holds a BSc (Hons) and a PhD in Zoology, Ecology, and Ecotoxicology, earned from the University of Reading between 1998 and 2001.
