Jessica van Brummelen

Jessica Van Brummelen is a Senior HCI Research Scientist at Niantic Spatial, Inc. since May 2025, specializing in immersive and spatial computing. Prior experience includes roles at Niantic, Inc. where Jessica contributed to augmented reality tools and user studies. Academic credentials include a PhD and MS in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Jessica also served as a research assistant and teaching assistant, focusing on conversational agents and HCI education. Jessica's extensive background encompasses internships at Adobe, the Advanced Control and Intelligent Systems Laboratory, and participation in international research collaborations in autonomous vehicles.
