RYUTARO OSAFUNE is a seasoned technical artist with extensive experience in the gaming and automotive industries. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Artist at Niantic, Inc. since April 2021, Ryutaro has previously held leadership and technical roles at 株式会社ミクシィ, where Ryutaro led an engineering team and worked on Unity-based development and CreativeAI research. Prior experience includes serving as an Automotive CGI Specialist at Autodesk, providing technical consulting for major automotive clients like Toyota and Nissan, and a significant tenure at BANDAI NAMCO Games Inc., where Ryutaro progressed from Chief Programmer to Technical Artist, including a stint at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. Ryutaro holds a Master’s degree in Computer Graphics and Image Design from Kyushu University.
