Stefano Puliti

Researcher at NIBIO

Stefano Puliti has work experience as a researcher at the NIBIO Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research since May 2017. Prior to this, they were a PhD student at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences from December 2013 to April 2017, and a visiting PhD student at Oregon State University from December 2014 to April 2015. Stefano also worked as a GIS and remote sensing analyst at Arbonaut Ltd from November 2010 to July 2012, and as a forestry consultant at Studio Associato Toccafondi Pinzauti from September 2009 to June 2010.

Stefano Puliti has an extensive education history in the field of Forestry and Remote Sensing. Stefano completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Remote Sensing of Forest Resources from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB) between 2014 and 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in European Forestry, specializing in Forest Resource management and Remote Sensing, from SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences from 2011 to 2012. Stefano also holds a Master's degree in Forestry from the University of Eastern Finland, earned between 2010 and 2011. Stefano's education journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Forest Management/Forest Resources Management from the Università degli Studi di Firenze, which they completed from 2006 to 2010.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Stefano also holds two important certifications. In 2015, they became an approved pilot for A1/A3 drone operations, obtaining this certification from the Civil Aviation Authority Norway. In January 2014, they passed the Italian Forester State exam, acquiring certification from the National Foresters Organization in Italy.
