Chris Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Chris most recently served as the Vice President of Finance at the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS) starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Team Lead at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital from 2021 to 2022. Chris also has significant experience in public administration, having worked as the City Administrator/CAO for the City of Southaven, Mississippi from 1997 to 2021. Additionally, they worked as a Project Manager at the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) in 1997. Chris began their career as an Economic Development Planner at North Delta Planning & Development from 1995 to 1997.
Chris Wilson holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from The University of Memphis, which they obtained from 1999 to 2002. In 2009, they completed an Executive Education program in Senior Executive State and Local Government at Harvard Kennedy School. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1995, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science and Government from Delta State University. Wilson also attended Memphis Prep from 1988 to 1991, where they completed a graduate program. In addition to their formal education, Wilson has obtained several certifications, including Advanced ChatGPT for Finance from Maven in 2023, and Stepping Up: How Taking Responsibility Changes Everything (getAbstract Summary) from LinkedIn in 2021. Chris is also a retired Credentialed Manager (CM) from the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) since 2008, and they hold a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) certification from IPMA-HR.
