Gina LaRocca, MD, MHSc is an accomplished physician scientist with extensive experience in advanced cardiovascular imaging and adult congenital heart disease. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai since July 2015, LaRocca also holds the role of Associate Director of ACHD. With concurrent work at NIH Research since June 2012, LaRocca contributes to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). Prior experience includes directing the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Center at Weill Cornell Medical Center and conducting cardiovascular research involving advanced imaging techniques. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Health Sciences from Duke University and a Doctor of Medicine from Creighton University, along with undergraduate studies in Biology from Boston College.
