Bethan Smith has a diverse range of work experience in the fashion industry. Bethan worked as a Creative Media and Fashion Co-Ordinator at Karizma Design Limited from July 2018 onwards. Prior to that, they were a Stylist at The Mews Bridal from January 2018 to May 2018. In 2017, Bethan was a Fashion English Lecturer at Sino-UK Zheijiang Fashion Institute of Technology from August 2017 to September 2017. Bethan also worked as a Stylist at Karen Millen from October 2016 to June 2017. Bethan gained valuable experience through internships at Julien Macdonald Limited in February 2017 and Mary Katrantzou in September 2016. In these roles, they performed various tasks such as sewing, alterations, assisting seamstresses, beading, and general studio jobs. Bethan also had an internship at Mary Katrantzou in March 2016, where they assisted with pattern amendments, fabric cutting, stitching, and fabric sourcing. Bethan was a Student Representative at Leeds College of Art from September 2015 to September 2016, where they communicated students' opinions and resolved issues to improve their college experience. Additionally, they won a design competition organized by Leeds Confucius Institute and designed a modern Cheongsam. As the winner, they received an all-expenses-paid trip to China, where they explored the culture and met with fashion companies.
Bethan Smith completed their education from 2007 to 2014 at Nailsea School, where they pursued their GCSEs and A-Levels in Apparel and Textiles. Later, they attended Leeds Arts University from 2014 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Concepts and Communication.
