Gail Hedberg is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in animal care and wildlife education. As the Co-Founder and Coordinator of the Hand-Rearing Resource Center since January 2015, Gail facilitates learning and resources on hand-rearing techniques. Alongside current board member roles at Safari West Wildlife Foundation and Niles Canyon Railway, Gail contributes significantly to non-profit education and fundraising efforts. With a consulting career spanning several decades, Gail has specialized in neonatal care for exotic animals at institutions like Exotic Animal Management and Siegfried and Roy Productions. A former Senior Veterinary Technician at the San Francisco Zoo, Gail has also provided expertise as a neonatal care specialist for various zoos and wildlife organizations. Educational credentials include an A.S. in Veterinary Technology from Colorado Mountain College and completion of essential courses in chemical immobilization.
