Joey Patterson has extensive experience in human resources, holding various leadership positions. Joey started their career at infoUSA in 1997 as Vice President of Human Resources and worked there until 2007. From 2007 to 2012, they served as Vice President of Human Resources at NMC, Inc. Patterson then joined the National Research Corporation as Vice President of Human Resources from 2012 to 2014. Joey continued their career at Streck, where they served as Director of Human Resources from 2014 to 2016. Patterson then joined RD Industries, Inc. as Chief Administrative Officer from 2016 to 2018. Currently, they are Vice President of Human Resources at NIM Group, which they have been in since 2018. Additionally, Patterson has served on the Metro Omaha Board of Directors for the TeamMates Mentoring Program from 2011 to 2013 and on the Nebraska DECA Board of Directors from 2013 to 2018.

Joey Patterson attended Alliance High School from 1982 to 1986. After completing high school, from 1986 to 1988, they attended Chadron State College and studied Business Administration and Human Resources. Joey then transferred to the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources from 1988 to 1990.
