Ryan Somerfield

Ryan Somerfield is a Robotics Software Engineer with extensive experience in the field, currently employed at Nimble since April 2025. Prior to this role, Ryan worked as a Robotics Software Engineer at Kindred from September 2021 to April 2025 and as a Robotic Applications Engineer at Precise Automation from January 2020 to September 2021. Ryan's earlier experience includes an Automation Engineer position at Genentech in the summer of 2019, a Graduate Teaching Assistant role in the Mechatronics Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in early 2019, and a Project Design Lead Engineer role at TinkRworks LLC from August 2017 to August 2018.
