Richard Caponi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Richard began their career in the military, serving as a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army for five years. Following their military service, Caponi worked as a Market Research Analyst intern at Management Science Associates. Richard then gained experience in the food and beverage industry, starting as an Associate Brand Manager intern at Del Monte Foods. Caponi then moved on to roles at Beech-Nut Nutrition Corporation, where they served as an Associate Brand Manager and later as the Consumer Helpline Manager. Richard then transitioned to Kraft Foods, initially working as an Associate Brand Manager for Premium Coffee before being promoted to Senior Associate Brand Manager for the Capri Sun and Premium Coffee brands. Caponi continued their career at The Kraft Heinz Company, where they held various positions including Brand Manager for Beverage Mixes and Associate Director for Category Sales and Marketing - McCafe. Most recently, Caponi served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Nine Line Apparel.

Richard Caponi earned their Bachelor of Science degree in General Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they attended from 1997 to 2001. Richard later pursued their MBA at Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business from 2007 to 2009.
