Christophe Malet

Christophe Malet has extensive experience in the LNG industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President Upstream LNG at Hanas New Energy Group since May 2015, where responsibilities include leading LNG procurement and trading activities. Previously, Christophe held the position of Deputy Director Marketing & Shipping at Yamal LNG, contributing to the project's fast-track process to final investment decision. An independent LNG Commercial Advisor from December 2011 to June 2012, Christophe assessed investment opportunities in the LNG sector for a private investor. Prior roles include Director LNG Trading at Excelerate Energy and Lead Negotiator for Global LNG at Shell, where Christophe focused on developing long-term LNG portfolios and pursuing business opportunities. Earlier, Christophe served as Global Account Manager at Shell Aviation. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, a strategic negotiations certification from Harvard Business School, and a degree in Engineering from Ecole nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, complemented by a Master’s in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
