Alejandro Abdala

Alejandro Abdala is a seasoned research and technology professional with a strong background in computational science and computer programming. Currently serving as a Senior Research Assistant at NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research since February 2022, Alejandro's prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the same institution from 2017 to 2021 and as an Academic Technician at IBt - Instituto de Biotecnología UNAM from 2011 to 2017, where Alejandro contributed to web application development for metagenomic analysis. Additional expertise encompasses freelance programming for environmental data management at Instituto de Ecología, UNAM, and a comprehensive engineering role at Gemalto focused on Product Data Management and software development for Latin American markets. Alejandro holds a Master's Degree in Computational Science from Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
