Nissan
Michael Soutter is senior vice president, U.S. Marketing and Sales, Nissan Americas. In this role, he is responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the Nissan brand in the U.S., as well as oversight of INFINITI Americas. He was named to this position in September 2025.
Soutter has spent more than a decade with Nissan, with key global and regional leadership positions throughout his tenure. Most recently, he led Nissan's Global Aftersales business as a corporate vice president based in Japan. Previously, he served as vice president, Aftersales, Nissan Americas, with leadership roles in Japan and Canada prior to that.
Before joining Nissan Canada in 2013, Soutter held various leadership roles at Uni-Select Inc. and General Motors. Soutter has also served as an automotive and market consultant, advising dealers on performance improvements including customer satisfaction and retention. He has nearly 30 years in the automotive industry.
Soutter holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in economics from Concordia University, and an MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University.
