Cristian Lazo Quispe

Cristian Lazo Quispe has a diverse range of work experience in the field of machine learning and data science. Cristian started their career as an Academic Tutor at Academia Ingenieria, where they provided assistance in Mathematics and Physics and taught Physics classes. From there, they went on to work as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Image Processing-UNI, where they gained experience in research and development of AI and image processing projects.

In 2019, Cristian joined PaPaMED as a Research Assistant, focusing on medical technology projects and working with medical image processing techniques. Cristian worked on tasks such as 3D image processing for teeth segmentation and skin cancer instance segmentation.

Continuing their career path, Cristian joined MDP CONSULTING S.A.C as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they contributed to developing cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning models. Cristian successfully developed a faster algorithm in an embedded system for multiple face detection and recognition.

Later, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Centro de Tecnología de la Información y Comunicaciones CTIC UNI, where they taught Machine Learning and Deep Learning. During their time there, they also worked on the development of image recognition projects.

In 2021, Cristian joined Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros as a Machine Learning Engineer, responsible for deploying data science models and working on computer vision projects, including car damage detection and segmentation. Cristian also worked on an invoice image analysis system using OCR and NLP techniques for fraud detection.

Cristian continued to expand their teaching experience by working as a Teacher Assistant in Machine Learning at 4Geeks Academy and then as a Teacher Assistant in Data Science at Aporta (BRECA Impacto Social) in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT IDSS).

Currently, Cristian is working at Nisum as an AI technical lead, leveraging their expertise in artificial intelligence to drive project success.
