Madeleine Gleave has a strong background in data analysis and policy advocacy. Madeleine started their career as a Research Assistant at the International Development Minor, where they conducted research and prepared statistical reports. Madeleine then worked as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Brigham Young University, where they taught review sessions and managed administrative tasks.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Madeleine worked as a Projects Team Intern at GlobalGiving, where they gained practical experience in project management. Madeleine then joined the Political Economy and Development Lab as a Research Assistant and AidData Coder, where they designed surveys, collected and analyzed data on foreign aid and wrote blog posts.

Madeleine later served as a Research Assistant at Princeton University, managing a field experiment on social norms. Madeleine then joined the Center for Global Development as a Research Assistant, focusing on energy policy and international financial institutions. Madeleine'swork gained significant attention and was featured in multiple publications.

In 2016, Madeleine joined the International Rescue Committee as a Policy & Advocacy Officer. Madeleine led strategy development, data analysis, and advocacy outreach for humanitarian sector reform issues, leveraging their network of high-level contacts.

Most recently, Madeleine has been working as the Chief Data Scientist at Nithio, leading a team in utilizing machine learning for consumer credit intelligence in Africa's off-grid energy sector.

Madeleine Gleave pursued their education at Brigham Young University from 2009 to 2013. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics, Political Science, and International Development. Following their undergraduate studies, Madeleine continued their education at Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy from 2015 to 2017. During their time at Carnegie Mellon, they completed a Master of Science degree in Public Policy and Management with a specialization in Data Analytics.
