Sami Lappeteläinen

Sami Lappeteläinen is an experienced professional with a strong background in management and software engineering. Currently serving as the Strategy Officer on the Board of Directors for the International Medieval Combat Federation since March 2023, Lappeteläinen previously held the role of Director of People Operations at Nitor since July 2017. Lappeteläinen also chaired the Board of Medieval Combat Sport Finland, contributing to the development of buhurt as a recognized sport from July 2015 to July 2022. Lappeteläinen's prior experience includes various senior managerial positions at F-Secure Corporation, focusing on talent acquisition, engineering productivity, and software engineering competence management from February 2004 to November 2017. Earlier career roles included senior software engineering positions at Bentley Systems and the University of Turku, where Lappeteläinen’s work involved the design and development of software systems. Lappeteläinen holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Turku and a Specialist Vocational Qualification in Management from the Work Efficiency Institute.
