Uma Raman

Uma Raman has extensive work experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic planning and employee lifecycle processes. Uma is currently serving as the Director and Head of Human Resources at NIVEA India. Prior to this, Uma worked at GitHub as the Senior HR Business Partner for APAC, where they led the HR function and developed people strategies to support growth in the region. Before GitHub, they worked at Microsoft as a Senior HR Manager and HR Manager. Uma also has experience at Johnson & Johnson, where they held roles as a Senior Manager in HR, HR Manager, and Business Based HR in Sales. Earlier in their career, they worked at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd., where they held various positions in talent acquisition, human resources, and management training.

Uma Raman completed their high school education at Army School Secunderabad. Uma then attended St Francis' College for Women from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Commerce. In 2004, they enrolled at the Management Development Institute in Gurgaon and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management (PGHRM) in 2006.
