Amir Pirooz

Amir Pirooz, PhD is currently employed at NIWA as NWP/CFD Modeller and Analyst and NWP Reanalysis Modeller and Analyst. Prior to this role, they worked at The University of Auckland as an Honorary Academic, PhD Candidate, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. Their experience also includes working as a Laboratory Testing Assistant at Trimble Loadrite, Mechanical Engineer at Mahab Consulting Engineering Company, CAD Designer at Emarat Sazan –E- Sepehr Co., and Mechanical Engineer at NPE Inc. Amir holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering - Wind Engineering from The University of Auckland, as well as a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution and K. N. Toosi University of Technology respectively.
