Business Development Executive - U.K.

Nixplay is the leading Family Content Sharing Services Platform and Smart Display brand in North America.  We have over 3.2 million user accounts with a fast growing subscriber base of over 41 thousand paying subscribers.  Our Smart Photo Frames are in over 1 million homes across North America and Europe. The core focus is on building and scaling our Subscription Services business and growing our footprint in the home.  Nixplay is a company with a vibrant, creative and dynamic team which likes to challenge itself.  

This is a unique opportunity to be the ‘right-hand’ to, and work closely with the CEO on business operational & enhancement activities. Reporting directly to the CEO , we are looking for a motivated and disciplined individual, who possesses an appetite for entrepreneurship and is ready to enter a fast but invaluable learning curve.   

In this role, you will also manage a number of functional elements of the business and be critical support to the C-Suite. You will be across global administrations and business support (our teams are spread across Philippines, U.K. and U.S.A.).  This will set you up as the eyes and ears of the CEO, especially in areas where he needs more information and insight..

The person in this role must be prepared to take on a number of different challenges and do whatever it takes to get the job done. You understand the fundamentals of a technology company and hold a keen eye for data and detail that enables business growth. 

Purpose and Responsibilities

  • Act as a business partner to the C-Suite, providing insights to the CEO in order to shape the strategy of the business.  Be comfortable with leading difficult conversations as needed, being able to respectfully challenge leaders in order to ensure they are doing what is best for the business and its people.

  • The role is hands-on and requires the usage of various tracking tools to extract desired data, and organize it in a compelling way.

  • It is imperative for the candidate to maintain a pulse of the latest market intelligence and be able to research new developments to assist senior managers on various international projects.

  • Support data reporting from a business management perspective.  Understand how we collect data across departments and manage the continued development of dashboards and analytics.

  • Improve organizational capability to ensure that we have practical systems in place to support quality and creative development with efficient and repeatable processes. Think of yourself as the ‘glue’ across the organization; fixing and improving all aspects as required.

  • Attend various meetings throughout the business to ensure follow-up and execution on identified next steps.

  • Set regular meetings with various departments to address and report on their ongoing business requirements

  • Conduct research and prepare detailed analysis presentations for Senior Management, mainly the CEO

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required in Business, Economics, Marketing or related field.
  • Experience working with technology companies, preferably startups.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results: analytical excellence mindset and highly data driven.
  • Strong ability to work with ambiguity, and can effectively cope with change, shift gears comfortably, decide and act without having the total picture.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills applicable for different audiences including senior management, product management, engineering, customer service and key partners. Proven ability to build and expand relationships (internal/external stakeholders)
  • Ability to utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to work through difficult challenges.
  • Comfortable working in a continuously expanding program or line of business.
  • Based in the United Kingdom , preferably the London / Southeast  area. The job will allow you to primarily work from home, but be prepared to travel in and around the London area on occasion.
