William L. Brennan

Mr. Brennan is the senior managing attorney for the Law Office of William L. Brennan, located in Monmouth County, New Jersey and the chief litigation officer for NJ PURE. Mr. Brennan has been certified by The Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. Less than 3% of all attorneys have acquired this certification. Through his practice, Mr. Brennan exclusively handles medical malpractice defense cases, representing physicians throughout New Jersey. In this role, Mr. Brennan has earned a reputation as an aggressive defender of his clients, utilizing the skills he garnered as an accomplished prosecutor when he was the trial supervisor for the District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York. During his tenure as a prosecutor in New York, Mr. Brennan was assigned to the elite homicide bureau where he prosecuted felony cases to verdict. Mr. Brennan’s extensive experience provides him with unique insight which has been on display during numerous appearances as a guest commentator on various television shows.

Mr. Brennan’s public service experience includes his role as a municipal court judge for the Town of Westfield, New Jersey. In addition, Mr. Brennan was a councilman for the Borough of Rutherford, New Jersey, where he served as the police commissioner. Mr. Brennan also served as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University.

When in private practice, Mr. Brennan’s practice focused on litigation involving personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, and complex multi-party construction claims. He served as regional trial counsel for several national corporations and has tried cases throughout the country.
