Peter Reeves-Hall

Principal Research Scientist at NKT Photonics

Peter Reeves-Hall, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of laser technology and photonics. Peter has held various roles at different companies, starting from their early career at IPG Photonics Corp., where they developed custom fiber products and managed successful laser trials with aerospace customers. Peter then worked at Prima Electro S.p.A., where they managed an agile fiber laser R+D group and successfully developed multi-kW fiber lasers. Peter also worked as the Director of Systems Engineering at TeraDiode, Inc., where they directed the electrical engineering and controls team and ensured regulatory compliance of laser systems. At MIT Lincoln Laboratory, they served as a Member of Technical Staff and led multiple $1M+ laser projects, collaborating with various teams for successful prototyping and fabrication efforts. Later, they joined VulcanForms Inc. as the Principal Laser Scientist, where they managed laser systems and metrology, developed kW class fiber amplifiers, and designed high-power laser beam metrology instrumentation. Currently, Peter is serving as a Principal Research Scientist at NKT Photonics.

Peter Reeves-Hall, Ph.D. pursued their education at Imperial College London. From 1994 to 1998, they obtained an MSci degree in Physics. Later, between 1998 and 2002, they earned a Ph.D. in Laser Physics from the same institution.
