Executive Director, Operations And Partnerships at NL Eats

Mehnaz Tabassum has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations and industries. Mehnaz started their career as a Sales Associate at The Home Depot in 2016. Mehnaz then transitioned to work as a Computer Service Technician at The Commons Library in 2017, where they provided technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients.

In 2014, Mehnaz joined Memorial University of Newfoundland as a Student Coordinator, responsible for coordinating various student activities. Mehnaz also worked as a Research Assistant during this time, assisting with research projects.

Mehnaz later joined the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador as a member of the Premier's Youth Council from 2020 to 2021. In this role, they contributed to policy discussions and represented the youth perspective.

Mehnaz's experience with the Government of Canada includes various roles at the Canada Revenue Agency, where they worked as a Project Lead, Lead HR Program Manager, Senior Projects Officer, Senior Programs Officer, and Non-Filer Officer. Mehnaz also served as a Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy Officer and Canada Emergency Response Benefit Officer.

Mehnaz further expanded their project management skills by working as an IT Project Manager at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat from 2023 onwards.

Mehnaz has also been involved in the community as the Executive Director of Operations and Partnerships at NL Eats Community Outreach Inc., where they focused on operational management and building partnerships.

Mehnaz is currently Vice President of Operations at PMI Ottawa Valley Outaouais.

Mehnaz Tabassum, PMP® CSM® CSPO®, has a education history that includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Business/Commerce from Memorial University of Newfoundland (2016-2018), an Associate's degree in Certificate in Public Policy from Memorial University of Newfoundland (2016-2021), and a Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Memorial University of Newfoundland (2014-2021). They have additional certifications including Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from Scrum Alliance (obtained in November 2023), Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance (obtained in November 2023), Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute (obtained in 2022), and various other certifications in Microsoft programs and security clearances.
