Ernesto Mourelo has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Ernesto started their career at KKTV 11 News as a Producer/Editor, where they produced news programs. Ernesto then moved to KNSD as an Exec. Producer/Producer, leading the 11 p.m. newscast and achieving the #1 rating. After that, they joined Telemundo 52 as an Asst. News Director, managing a large staff and overseeing website content and promotion. Ernesto also worked on special projects and content scheduling across two TV stations. Following this, they joined Hearst Television as a Director of Digital Media, responsible for managing content on WLWT.com and WLWT mobile. Ernesto later became the Director of Digital Content, where they oversaw editorial operations for Hearst's 26 TV stations nationwide. Most recently, Ernesto Mourelo has taken on leadership roles at NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists, serving as the President of the NYC Chapter and appointed as an At-Large Director on the board. Currently, they are the Vice President of Digital News at Hearst Television, overseeing digital news operations.
