Nick Powills, CFE, has extensive experience in content marketing and communications. Nick began their career in 2001 as the Publisher of Lumino Magazine. In 2003, they became a Columnist/Entertainment Writer/Copy Editor at Northwest Herald. From 2008 to 2012, they were Chief Brand Strategist at No Limit Agency. In 2012, they became the Publisher of 1851 Project. In 2017, they were Publisher at ESTATENVY. Most recently, they have been Chief Executive Officer at Mainland since 2020. At Mainland, they are reinventing the definition of content marketing by connecting storytelling with technology and data. Nick represents about 100 different brands, including those in the agent/franchise/licensee, education, health & wellness, home services, restaurant, automobile, and technology spaces. The bulk of the brands they represent work with him on positioning their brands, defining the “why your brand”/”why now,” and increasing visibility/awareness for the b-to-b focuses.

Nick Powills, CFE, has a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Drake University which they obtained between 1999 and 2003. Nick also holds a Top 100 Global Franchise Influencer certification from the Top 100 Global Influencers in Franchising, which they obtained in February 2021, as well as a Certified Franchise Executive certification from the International Franchise Association which they obtained in February 2012.
